With an expected duration of 10 years, the activities planned for the Regional Program on Biological Diversity for the Amazon Basin/Region should be completed by the end of 2030, along with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the proposed update to the Strategic Agenda for Amazonian Cooperation (AECA). Until then, we expect the management of biological diversity and the protection of traditional knowledge of indigenous peoples, local communities and other tribal communities in the Amazon Basin/Region to be established.
